It’s relative when we’re talking about fascinating person in our life. It could be a great figure that we see on Forbes or maybe unknown person in the world yet someone that we get to know deeply.

Being a fascinating person doesn’t always mean to be a great figures. For me, being fascinating means to attract and hold attentively by a unique power, personal charm, unusual nature, or some other special quality within ourself. I believe that everyone could be fascinating in their own way and hopefully someday I could be able to inspire and fascinate someone with my uniqueness too.

Personally, I can’t say that there’s only one fascinating person in my life. There are several people whose parts of life inspire what I do, but not for all sectors of life. I’ll try to pinpoint them based on several aspects :

  • Professional aspect

When it comes to professional aspect, I always fascinated by Nyoman Anjani. Most of you might haven’t know her but when you do, you’ll find out that she’s amazing inside out. Her achievements and representation inspires me to be success not only for myself, but for the society.

  • Love aspect

Actually I got my own senses when it comes love life. But there’s a real love story that fascinates me the most and make me believe that true love does exist. It’s Jack and Phyllis Potter — The Notebook in real life. Jack started keeping a journal when he was a child, and he kept up the practice his entire life. When Jack met Phyllis on October 4, 1941, the pages of his diary captured their romance. Jack liked Phyllis from the moment he met her, describing in his diary, “Very nice evening. Danced with a very nice girl. Hope I meet her again.” A mere 16 months after that first encounter, the two were married. They lived in Kent, England for over half a century. Eventually Phyllis’s dementia took a deep hold on her life and it was too much for Jack to handle on his own. She had to move into a nursing home.

That didn’t deter Jack. He visits her every day. And every day, he reads to her from his diaries. He reminds her of their family and pets with photographs. Through everything, Phyllis hasn’t forgotten how much she loves Jack. She’s always overjoyed when he arrives to see her. The two have now been married for 70 years.

  • Health aspect

There’s a pulmonologist from my childhood back then who fascinate me on how he motivate a 5 years old kiddo with a bronchitis to recover. I saw him as a pure hearted doctor that help me to pass the storm and change dad’s habit of smoking. A better and healthier lifestyle in my family starts since then!

The thing about fascinating person is they’ll shape you and change you on how you view your life. But we should never assume that we should live a life like them. I found a partner in Seoul that also fascinate me on how he view his life and mine, he made me realize that;

life in general, inspires me:)
