Well, I should change one of the topics from this challenge due to some inconvenience with a personal topic. Then I came up with this idea because somehow a rejection has given me a huge impact in life.

I’m sure that most people are wounded by rejections. A Rejection can drive people to some pretty dark places, but it can also spark people to do awesome things within their lives. For instance, Beethoven was declared as ‘hopeless’ at composing by his music teacher, yet he became one of the world’s most famous and influential of all composers. As for Charles Dickens that secretly mailed off his manuscript because he was afraid that his friends would find out and make fun of him. The manuscript was rejected, as were others, but that was just right before he reached millions with such classics as ‘Oliver Twist’.

If I was asked what was the worst rejection that became a blessing in my life? Probably I would answer a rejection of not being chosen by a person. I guess it was one of the worst experience in my life, and it caused stress, anxiety, even depression at first. However, I managed to keep myself from anger and these emotional feelings. I learned how to let go of things that wasn’t destined for me, and somehow it became a blessing. I became more mature and earned something better.

We might think that our opportunities are over after being rejected, without knowing that we’re actually thinking in a wrong direction. Yes, it is true that it will cost a long time to get what we want, but we’ll end up getting it for sure, and trust me even this time would be better. It might sounds cliché, but whether the rejections came from a job vacancy or a partner, we will be eventually directed to something nicer.

It would be easy to allow rejection to defeat us, but we must not let it happen. We have to change our mind and focus on what matters. Achievements are gratifying if we try hard to get it, and for that reason, we should never give up. We just have to take some step back and stop for a while, acknowledge that it’s okay to feel sad, upset and hurt, but then we should evaluate the different ways to get something or someone extraordinary.

Remember that nobody is free from defeat and that failure or rejection are part of the life, not the end. Nobody has a determined life. Every person has his or her own battles, challenges, and expectations. We can find our true passions, develop new skills and realize who our true friends are. We can eliminate our blind spots and stop doubting ourselves.

There’s a verse saying that what is meant for you, will reach you even if it is beneath two mountains and what isn’t meant for you, won’t reach you even if it is between your two lips. I always keep that mind so I know that if something is destined for me, never in a million years it will be for somebody else.
